One of my favourite places to grab a quick bite to eat. Having dietary restrictions usually comes with more expensive food but the Piping Kettle always has something I can eat and sometimes it’s under 10 which is also incredible. I recommend to all my friends! Some of the staff began to recognize me after a while and know me by name. I love it!
The Piping Kettle on Huron is one of our favourite spots! As vegans, our options at restaurants are often limited but The Piping Kettle has sooo many delicious vegan options! Not only is their food tasty but also very nutritious. The atmosphere is very welcoming and it’s the perfect place to dine in or take out. They have different soup options every day so you never get bored of the same things. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t already!

One of my favorite things about the place is that the soups change daily. It’s a fun surprise each time, though I’ll admit I do get a little bummed when my favorites aren’t available. Still, it keeps things fresh, and honestly, everything they serve is great, so it’s never a disappointment. Overall, there’s just something really special about The Piping Kettle. I’ve loved every visit and can’t recommend it enough.
Found this gem, by a link on facebook. Thought I had died and gone to heaven, on my first visit. First location, I got three soups, same with the second. Two in one day, six different types. Happy hour for soup freaks, that must be me. Got a small to have on way home, and froze the rest. This proved two things, the soup freezes well, and second the container that it comes in, is perfect for the task. Does not crack or break during the freeze, thaw. Little hot water that little block of frozen goodness is ready to microwave, and be a bowl of heaven. Can't wait to visit again, on a Sunday to stock up for the next batch of culinary delights.
A great place to get delicious soup, salad, and sandwiches. Great gluten free options such as African Peanut Stew, Turkey Chili, and sandwiches made with GF bread using a separate toaster. The servers are so friendly and helpful too. Great experience!
Our family has had just about every soup made at Piping Kettle. From vegan to vegetarian to meaty, every soup is delicious. You can taste the love and care put into every single batch. Be it a cream or broth based delight, the soups are fabulous! And this salads! Scrumptious! You have to get there early, because salads go very fast. Oh and the sandwiches? There are almost unlimited combos. You name it, and they can make it. Why would you want to eat anywhere else!
Whether a bowl of soul, a sandwich or salad I also enjoy my meal from Piping Kettle. The varieties vary daily with the soups. I always grab a taster just to be sure! The staff are super friendly and have great suggestions, happy to answer any questions. Decisions are hard so three soups usually end up in my bag enough for a couple days Do give Piping Kettle a go! You won’t regret it!
So many yummy choices of soup and other options! I always end up buying more than one soup to take home, as it’s next to impossible to decide! Love the food here and great service! Haven’t dined in yet; I like to take it home.
